Patrick Cody, Head Instructor & General Manager of Kwon’s Martial Arts of Clinton, first began his martial arts training in the early ‘80s. After joining the Army in 1986, he continued his training in boxing, Aikido and Karate and finished his tour of duty as one of Ft. Ord’s Peer Instructors in hand-to-hand combat training. In 1989, he returned home where he resumed his formal training in Taekwondo and Hapkido. He holds a 5th degree black belt in Taekwondo, as well as a 3rd degree black belt in Hapkido.
Mr. Cody is a certified instructor and a certified referee. As a Black Belt competitor, his tournament experience includes 2 gold medals and 2 silver medals at the New England Invitational in 1995 and 1996. In 2003, he spent the year training in Korea. Mr. Cody has also coached at the Taekwondo Jr. Nationals.
He has a Bachelor's Degree in Education, has taught at both high school and college levels, and has been instructing children and adults in the martial arts for over 12 years.
